Job Summary
Complinet is an international company with offices in London, New York, Dubai and Sydney, and is the market-leading publisher of information and provider of software solutions to the international financial services industry. The range of services includes publishing, compliance, training and bespoke development. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of e-Learning Design.
As part of the Regulatory Training team, you will lead a team of project managers and e-learning designers to deliver e-learning solutions for the both client and market-ready e-learning courses.
This is a customer facing role in which you will be required to liaise directly with clients and subject matter experts to create developer-ready storyboards.
You will have previous experience in an e-learning environment, and a good understanding of the e-learning process, including broad knowledge of delivery and development platforms.
Major/Key Activities
- Lead e-learning Design team and Project Managers
- Manage the delivery of a lively schedule of e-learning projects
- Development of developer ready storyboards including creative solutions for learning material
- Meet with clients to determine key learning objectives and translate this into an e-learning format
- Liaise with e-learning designers, project managers, subject matter experts and sales team.
Essential Skills
- Commercial experience as an Instructional Designer or Lead Designer in an e-learning company or in-house e-learning team
- Extensive knowledge of, and ability to apply and develop successful solutions for an e-learning or mixed media environment
- Commercial experience of end to end projects including budgeting, scheduling, change control and problem-solving work
- Ability to extract core Learning Objectives from clients or SME and present these back in specification form
- Ability to clearly order and break down content appropriately for delivery as effective learning material
- Excellent writing / communication / editing / proofreading
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to prioritise and balance multiple, on-going projects
- Personable
- Self motivated, and can take initiative
- Ability to work in a team and as an individual
- Organised, methodical, meticulous
- Passionate about e-learning
Preferred/Desirable Skills:
- Experience within the financial services industry
- Knowledge of interface design and software, such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, or Lectora
- A broad technical understanding of development of e-learning content for the web (CMS's, LCMS's, development for LMS compatibility and SCORM and AICC compliance issues)
