Description
We are looking for an experienced e-learning developer with a web/software background. Working as part of a project team and in close collaboration with academics and other media specialists, you will play a key role in developing effective OU distance learning materials for delivery online or via disc.
You will have hands-on development experience as part of a client facing team, tackling a variety of e-learning projects from specification and design, through production and testing, to rollout and maintenance.
You will be educated to degree (or equivalent) level, ideally in a technical computing subject. Technical skills must include PHP, HTML, CSS, Flash ActionScripting and JavaScript, supported by some XML/XSLT experience; additional experience in the design of learning materials would be valuable. Good personal organisational and interpersonal skills are essential and you will be able to demonstrate a creative but pragmatic approach to delivering the ‘right’ solution within defined project parameters.
