Description

theWorkshop is a top 100 UK design company (Design Week 2008), producing award-winning e-learning and interactive content for a variety of educational and corporate clients including the BBC, CISCO, Channel 4 and the Royal Institution. We're expanding our in-house content team and are looking for a Content Producer/Instructional Designer to write and manage content for mainly e-learning projects.

You'll be leading a cross-functional team of designers and programmers, but with the support of a Project Manager, so you're freed up to focus on development. Experience of writing tenders and proposals would also be useful.

You must have:

  • significant industry experience of writing instructional e-learning materials
  • excellent writing and organisational skills
  • a positive attitude and a mind which is open to new ideas and ways of working
  • a rigorous understanding of learning and educational principles
  • a passion for technology, learning and design

An active interest in any of the following areas would be beneficial:

  • user-centred design
  • usability and accessibility
  • SCORM compliance
  • gaming

Expertise in new media, IT or journalism, and a degree or equivalent qualification in English or a media-related subject is highly desirable. Add to this heady mix a passion and flair for writing, a hunger for grammar and a large sprinkling of IT skills, and you could be the person we're looking for.
